My Interests

Besides my wife, kids, family, and friends, the thing I love most in life is MUSIC. I currently play guitar and sing with two local bands: Egg Planet is a politically charged funk/rock band, and the unofficial band of The Green Party of Colorado. Formerly Known As... is an acoustic 80s cover band, consisting of myself and two friends who folk out with tambourines and wood blocks. We also enjoy writing and recording our own songs just for fun. One of the superficial thrills in my life was getting to meet my musical idol, Jack Johnson, and having him autograph my guitar. I've since gotten to meet and get autographs from Blues Traveler, The Indigo Girls, The Bare Naked Ladies, Bob Weir, G.Love, Ben Harper, Ray Davies, and many others.

Beyond that, I'll gladly admit to being a nature-geek. I'm quite proud that my 4 year old daughter can name just about every tree in our neighborhood, and can identify birds just by their call. She has an alter-ego called "ECO-GIRL" who wears a green mask, and picks up trash on our daily walks around the local reservoir. As she rescues a small bush being strangled by a stray plastic bag, she triumphantly proclaims, "Save the WORLD!"
